Economic transformation is essential to Africa’s future. But how do we ensure that it is equitable and environmentally sustainable – yielding real long term benefits for people living in poverty?

In March 2016, Third World Network Africa (TWN-A) and Tax Justice Network-Africa (TJN-A) organised a two-day round-table in Addis Ababa (hosted by UNECA and supported by CAFOD and Christian Aid) looking at how the AU Vision 2063 and the UN Agenda 2030 potentially intersect and mutually reinforce policy pathways for realising equitable and sustainable economic transformation in Africa.

Participant’s highlighted the gap in civil society’s analysis of and engagement with decision makers around this critical theme which is shaping our current development context.

This website captures some of our deliberations and subsequent work and thinking around this theme.
